Artifacts from Bhutan

I am back after a long break, with a list of excuses...vacation, school re-opening, project deadlines , family functions, etc, but yet, happy to be back. While I was away, I was on a vacation in Bhutan with extended family. Bhutan is a beautiful and an environment friendly country. Ever since, I have been recommending Bhutan to all. We were there for a week and loved every bit. Vacations are more pleasant with dear ones, my daughter had her cousins to play with, thankfully my husband gel well with my bro-in-laws, and ofcourse I had a gala time with my sisters So all in all it was a good trip.
Bhutan is quite an expensive place. i don’t think you can do a 'value for money' shopping there. Amidst all, yet I managed to shop around for a few Artifacts. Here are a few pictures. Do let me know your thoughts.

My Love for Flowers....

Today I am sharing with you a few flower arrangements I had done at home.

I guess my love for flowers is obvious from the name of my blog. This is a passion derived from my parents. While my father loved to see flowers bloom in his garden, my mother loved to see them bloom in her vases. I remember the constant tiffs between them regarding this. But nevertheless, our home was known to all for our passion for flowers.

Now my daughter and my husband know it well that nothing can pacify me sooner than a couple of gerberas, carnations or lilies...

My Balcony Garden

Hey, sharing with you all my balcony garden. This is my favorite place in my home. I am not really a green thumb kind of person, but like to have a lot of greenery around. All the plants in my garden are low maintenance....all they need is .. a lot of sun and water.

Spring is around and this time I want to challenge myself to do something different. The reason I am putting this in print ... so that I don’t back off. This time I am going to plant flowers...marigold, petunia, etc, etc. I am going to click pictures and post them here....this is my challenge to myselfJ.

Foyer @ home

Today I am going to share photographs of our foyer at home. We live in a 2 bedroom house. Fortunately for us the foyer is one place which the builder did not compromise. It is spacious and also gives us the privacy.

Door no 602-

Welcome home !

Pot corner - The special ones are the 3 pots on the left hand side. These were painted by my daughter and nephew. Each has a note inside from the little ones. I have preserved them and will show them when they grow up.

Creative Venture

I was always very fond of anything artistic, and often miss not having done a professional course. All through my student life the atmosphere around me (i think many will agree) was so career focussed that I never really got a chance to think what I was passionate about. After a long time in life now, work has not taken more priority over everything else. I seem to be managing a work life balance and enjoying smaller things in life which I missed to notice earlier. So enjoying this balance, I try to delve into new creative ventures. Felt like sharing one such with all of you.
